Selected as a “Top 100 Wine” by Wine Enthusiast Magazine 2016. Andrew Quady, Founder and Michael Blaylock, former Director of Winemaking, share their love for Deviation and Moscato in this VIDEO.
Imagine a star-lit sky on a tranquil evening, accompanied by a softly spiced dessert wine that smells of roses. This unique experience is Deviation.
Deviation is an Orange Muscat dessert wine infused with the botanicals Rose Geranium and Damiana. Orange Muscat gives the wine a citrus character with notes of peach and apricot, while the Rose Geranium leaves gathered from the Quady garden impart a rose-like quality and an unusual finish in a sweet wine. Damiana, wild harvested from South America, was first used by the Mayans for its aphrodisiac properties and continues to be popular today for luck in love.
To make Deviation, the herbs steep in Orange Muscat wine for seven days. The wine is then filtered and bottled, and held for one year before release.
Wines infused with plants are “aromatized wines.” Whereas there are several aromatized aperitíf wines such as vermouth, Deviation as an aromatized dessert wine is unique. It is a deviation from traditional winemaking and the usual sweet wine experience.
Enjoy Deviation with pie, truffles, spiced cakes and cookies, vanilla, cheese and fruit, as a palate cleanser, or in a cocktail where rose flavoring is recommended.

A beautiful amber-orange color is followed by a potent floral aroma that's echoed in sweet rose-petal, honey and orange-zest flavors. Quady flavors this dessert wine with rose geranium and damiana, making it so bold and aromatic that it almost glows.
